Is Carmine In Your Mineral Makeup Or Lipsticks?

Answer: Carmine is not a colorant we choose to use to achieve our red or pink shades in our mineral cosmetics or lipsticks and lip shine.  Only iron oxides are used to achieve our lovely mineral makeup foundations, bronzer, blush and lip colors.

The truth is, the origin of this shade comes from the Cochineal beetle which is crushed to create the color that we find in Popsicles, gelatin, fruit drinks, cosmetics, processed foods, lollipops, etc.

Are Your Eye Colors Safe For Lips?

Answer: Mineral Makeup Eye Shadows that contain FDA approved colorants (strictly regulated by the way) may not be safe to use on lips.

Many vibrant colors are achieved by the use of the very safe iron oxides, yet may also contain Ultramarines, Ferric Ferrocyanide and Chromium Oxides, approved safe for topical skin application found in a mineral cosmetics and all other forms of cosmetic products, but not for use in lipstick or lip gloss.  In fact if you ever see these three shading ingredients in a lip color, do not purchase or use at your own risk.

The Aroma And Feel Of Jojoba Oil In Mineral Makeup

The Elements Of Jojoba Oil

Our Jojoba Oil is Organically Grown Cold Pressed / Unrefined and is added to our Foundation Formulas.  Due to its characteristics, it has an indefinite shelf life since it is actually a wax ester and not a vegetable oil, so it will not turn rancid and is not subject to oxidation.  Our oil is 100% pure and certified organic, and is the only oil found to have the closest affinity with the skin.

It is soothing to those with acne, rosacea, psoriasis and sebborheic dermatitis.  Women with any skin type can use Jojoba, including those with oily skin.  Jojoba is excellent for dissolving pore clogging sebum and for restoring your skins’ natural pH balance.

Why Do You Use Cosmetic Fillers When Other Companies Do Not?

Answer: All of our ingredients we use in our mineral cosmetics are 100% pure and healthy, yet provide additional soothing benefits to the skin. We don’t believe in a one size fits all mentality when it comes to our mineral makeup. Other basic formulas offered, though considered safe for most, will not allow women with different skin types or with problematic skin to enjoy or even come to understand the many skin healthy benefits of wearing mineral cosmetics.

The word “filler” is sales hype and this term is used by so called cosmetic experts, those that repackage and competitors to attack products they either don’t approve of, are in direct competition with, or simply don’t have a working knowledge of the true definition. The phrase “filler ingredient” seems to imply that a cosmetic company includes certain ingredients within a formulation that are not necessary or don’t create a purpose for making a product perform better.

Does Rice Powder Cause Acne?

Answer:  Many mineral makeup companies in their advertising postulate that use of food starches in traditional makeup or mineral makeup like Oat, Soy, Arrowroot, Rice and Corn, to name a few, feed or support bacteria and stimulate its growth on the face.   These statements are completely false and misleading and these “myths” may be the popular belief, but they are not supported by scientific evidence.

Fact:  Acne is caused by a buildup of sebum in the pore that is not functioning properly, then it gets clogged and the usually harmless bacteria which is naturally occurring in your skins’ pores begins to multiply, which are called Propionibacterium Acnes.  The bacteria take its’ food source from this sebum buildup, not from any ingredient applied to your face.
