Is Carmine In Your Mineral Makeup Or Lipsticks?

Answer: Carmine is not a colorant we choose to use to achieve our red or pink shades in our mineral cosmetics or lipsticks and lip shine.  Only iron oxides are used to achieve our lovely mineral makeup foundations, bronzer, blush and lip colors.

The truth is, the origin of this shade comes from the Cochineal beetle which is crushed to create the color that we find in Popsicles, gelatin, fruit drinks, cosmetics, processed foods, lollipops, etc.

Are Your Eye Colors Safe For Lips?

Answer: Mineral Makeup Eye Shadows that contain FDA approved colorants (strictly regulated by the way) may not be safe to use on lips.

Many vibrant colors are achieved by the use of the very safe iron oxides, yet may also contain Ultramarines, Ferric Ferrocyanide and Chromium Oxides, approved safe for topical skin application found in a mineral cosmetics and all other forms of cosmetic products, but not for use in lipstick or lip gloss.  In fact if you ever see these three shading ingredients in a lip color, do not purchase or use at your own risk.
